I want to study abroad but due to my lack of finances I have to work to pay for fees and living costs.  I am wanting to know in which countries it is easiest for students to work and in which countries it is easiest to get work.

I am wanting to do my undergraduate degree in Engineering abroad in US/UK/Canada/Aus.

Thanks
Vinu

Some of the students I have placed into New Zealand have found work.

The unemployment rate in NZ is really low at the moment compared to other western countries so your chances of finding work are quite good (although it is still likely to be work in the hospitality/service industries, labouring or fruit picking).

Students must be enrolled on a full time course of at least two years (or language school for at least 6 months) and IELTS level must be 5.0 overall at the time of application for the work permit.

Students can work up to 20 hours per week and full time during the Christmas vacation.

It is likely that students will make between NZ$8 and NZ$12 an hour.

Everybody thinks their Country is the best.
For me...I love Canada,since I live here,but
it is for the students to decide, where they wish to go.

Each Country has good and bad.I will add a LINK here
and it gives Info on Working Visas for Students.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/work.asp

Anyone, who wishes to go to Canada to study, should contact
the closest Canadian Consulate and they can explain all the
rules and reguirements.

That is true of any country, students wish to go to.
Always contact the Consulate of the Country you wish to go to.

They will have the application forms and are more than
willing to give advise.

Hi Vinu,

Apart from study and work, one must also look at long term benefits like ability to stay back after finishing their studies as a permanent resident or something like that.

Australia offers lot of opportunities for overseas students by offering permanent residency after 2 years of full time study. Students are allowed to work 20 hours per week during their course and full-time during their vacations. Engineers are in great demand in Australia and lead to Permanent Residency if certain criterion are met.

Feel free to ask more questions on Australian education and residency.

Cheers,

Jag

The United States of America. No doubt. It's quite easy to find employment, but of course it's not going to happen if you don't put a little effort into it. The studies here are great too.

New Zealand’s educational institutions are very well regarded internationally with a great range of educational opportunities available to international students.

NZ offers excellent quality English language schools, and internationally respected universities. International students are required to pay foreign student fees at New Zealand colleges and universities.

New Zealand offers different levels of education right through from certificates to doctoral degrees and New Zealand’s tertiary tuition fees are generally less than those in the UK, USA, Australia and Canada

Overall New Zealand secondary school costs are also lower than other countries. English language costs are very competitive globally

Well you dont need to travel to UK or USA to get an International Degree. You could study in Sri Lanka And have the option of completing the course right here in Sri Lanka or studying the last year in Uk/USA. Study/Living cost is a fraction of what you will spend in UK but get the same degree.

Contact us for more details.

Hello,

Of course it depends on what you wish to achieve from your time studying abroad. If you are serious about learning English and further pursuing your education, I would have to say Canada.
I have lived in the US, UK, Ireland, Canada and Spain - and based on the experiences I have had, it would be easy to say that Canada offers everything you would want.
Keep in mind that Canada is a very large country and it is different in all different regions. We have an English Language college in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We offer small classes that are taught by experienced and certified teachers. In Halifax we have five major universities you can chose to attend after completing our English program.
The cost of living is very affordable, you have the option to work part time while you are studying and above all, 95% of the people in the city speak English as their first language! It is difficult to find that in the larger cities.

Please contact me if you have any questions - I would be happy to answer them.

Best regards,

Admissions at ALCC
