The JNA Homeschool program is a program for children 9 years old and up. Instead of our students going to an ESL school campus for English study, they learn English with their host family mother being their teacher. The student has 2 hours per day of private instruction with the host mother each day Monday to Friday.
The student has a chance to be in an English environment with the homeschooling family and lives at their home for the length of the program. With this kind of program the student becomes a “family” member and participates with the host family in all aspects of family life. Whether it is shopping at a store, going camping, eating out, or whatever else the homeschool family may do, the student can be involved with them.
Each daily experience enriches the student’s stay and enables them to pick up English in a more natural way than conventional ESL classroom experience only. Living what you learn is far more important than just learning and hoping that one day you will live it. Our students can apply what they learn each day and have numerous chances to speak at home with all of their homeschool family members.
