Section 1
Foreign Working InternshipsAn overseas working internship is an opportunity to gain experience
abroad and to gain practical experience in an area that interests you
and your future career in a setting conducive to learning both the
language and the working culture of your host country. To create a
base of learning to build upon future years of success, These are the
reasons why people do internships.
1. To gain work, cultural and language experience in an international country.
2. To directly have work experience in their career field so as to
enhance their resume.
3. To gain academic credits or to qualify for academic credits with
their academic institution
4. To experience global and local issues firsthand and to contribute
as a global citizen.
If you are an agency that wants to gain more clients, this is a
meaningful and exciting option for you. This is a growing field, and
it will only get larger.
In our upcoming monthly newsletters, we will address specific areas
for both students and agencies alike and talk about such as:
1. Types of Internships
2. How people find internships abroad
3. Developing a program
4. Opportunities
Additionally, look for our new INTERNSHIP BOARD, Coming Soon this summer!

A Frequently Asked Question on AgentsChat.com: How can I recruit students as an agency or in school agency? Most students find schools through agents, or through the recruiting
agency of a school itself. Whichever way you go, starting out with no
previous history of international recruitment, no staff assigned to
the project, and a small budget, is more common than you think! The
following is an overview of our views here at AgentsChat.com of
recruitment-related activities, the lessons learned, and some
outcomes.
What we will do each month is to give several recommendations and tips
rather than everything at once. The reason we have decided to do this
is that, oftentimes, we have given all the information we can to
prospective agencies but nothing has happened. Why? Too much
information! What we have found is that when we give the information
in stages, it works better. So, here goes.
Step One: * Setting up a Recruitment Committee
The first question is: Do you have people ready to commit time,
expertise, to planning, communications, and recruiting, and then give
leadership when they need it? We find that typically this committee
would meet two to three times per session to plan activities, identify
needs and solutions, hear and respond to reports and feedback on
recruitment trips, and share relevant news and developments.
Once this is done, each committee member is responsible for their
area. For example
Project Recruitment Team Lead:
Who is keeping track of the timelines and tasks that have been decided?
Marketing Lead:
Who is in charge of all marketing initiatives, for the purpose of
attracting students and schools to you?
PR and Communications
Who is promoting you to newspapers, magazines, websites, etc? Who is
handling inquires and your message?
Operations
Who is keeping everything organized?
Business Development
Who is responsible for developing strategic alliances and achieving
business targets?
In our upcoming issues, we will address these areas and more.
Lastly, if you are having challenges in setting up your agency or
school recruitment division, let us know. We can refer you to
consultants and advisors who have experience in this area and would be
happy to help.

advantage of their profile to advertise their agency's or school's

that frequent this site. This site provides a valuable place to
advertise your services to a wide and very receptive audience within
